Considerations: Prefer something on Netflix. I watch with my 18-year old son. He likes fairly straight-forward humor (so maybe not so much real subtle or off-the-wall comedy). Nothing too childish or totally risque. The only series we dropped partway through was New Girl. Maybe someday we'll go back. Modern Family is on the short list but not on Netflix.
Some I have thought about (may not meet the NetFlix criterion) are Wings, Taxi, The Cosby Show, Family Ties, The Drew Carey Show, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Home Improvement. I don't think I ever watched any of those religiously when they were new but have seen plenty of episodes.
What are some other options? And, yes, I have brought up lists, but frankly, they're sort of all over the place with their suggestions.
