in the US, wealth inequality has increased so much that essentially all of the gain has gone to the top few percent. The median American (unlike almost everyone else in the world) actually got slightly poorer between 1998 and 2008.
Does that make Donald Trump more appealing? I dunno, whoever wrote the Washington Post article seems to think so. Anyhow, it's sort of interesting data, so I thought I would share.
