Hi Everyone!
I know people are on the cusp of getting results from fall exams (hopefully good results!) and will start to study for Exam 7 soon.
To help you get started, I put together a detailed reading list of the Exam 7 syllabus and information about the 2016 syllabus changes. You can get that information here:
www.RisingFellow.com
Over the next months leading up to the exam I will be active in this forum to try to help out. I'll also be posting additional resources on my website such as excel workbooks that demonstrate the methods in the syllabus reading. Be sure to check back for those or simply subscribe to my email list and Ill send those free tools out to you.
Also, I want to quick introduce myself and give you a heads up about a new practice problem study manual, called the Exam 7 Cookbook, that I will be putting out in January to help people pass.
I passed Exam 7 myself in 2013 and to prepare for it I identified each of the different types of testable calculation problems in the syllabus. For each problem-type, I created an original practice problem written to be similar to a CAS question. I detailed a step-by-step recipe for how to solve that problem-type including instructions, formulas, calculations and discussion.
This tool covers just about every different problem-type you might see on the actual exam. If you know the recipes for each problem-type and work the original, exam-style practice problems Ive created, you should feel confident going into the exam in May.
I created this study tool to help me pass Exam 7. It was so helpful that I created similarly styled study aids to pass Exams 8 and 9 to get my FCAS. I passed each of those exams on the first sitting. I updated and expanded the Exam 7 Cookbook for 2016 and am excited to make it available to help others pass, this sitting.
Find out more information about the Exam 7 Cookbook here
Let me know if you have any questions at this point (just shoot me an email at steve@RisingFellow.com or reply to the thread). I will put out additional information and free sections of the Exam 7 Cookbook from section A of the syllabus on my website over the next couple weeks.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the holidays and Im looking forward to helping people pass Exam 7!
Steve
