Hey There,
I'd appreciate anyone taking the time to critique my attached resume.
I'm currently working as an assistant underwriter for a major P&C firm. They are sponsoring me to take my actuarial tests, including fronting the costs, while providing raises and bonuses along they way. However, and correct me if I'm wrong, I feel I am at the point where it is more important that I begin to accrue job experience than it is for me to continue passing exams. This is assuming I currently have what it takes to land an EL position.
While I'm obviously looking for an opportunity internally, this resume is geared towards external opportunities. I am avoiding committing to any specific field as I want to leave the door open to as many opportunities as possible. Unfortunately, though I have a few years experience in the P&C world, the health sector is the primary field hiring actuaries in my geographic location.
Please add any and all feedback you feel would be useful.
Thank you.
