The Second Amendment reads:
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
I am looking for specific instances where a well regulated militia used the protection under the 2nd amendment to protect its rights of life liberty and pursuit against an oppressive government.
One could cite the civil war but essentially the 'well regulated militia' in that instance was blocking the rights of others to life liberty and pursuit.
Any recent examples would be most helpful.
