Did anybody else get this "invoice" recently?
I opened the letter from the SOA, and my jaw just dropped as I tried to figure out what I did that would result in a 5 figure bill. It appears that I didn't do anything, and they are just sending out a "bill" to all companies to cover expenses on studies I never asked them to do.
Fortunately, I think this is more of a request for a donation than an actual bill that is required to be paid.
Anyway, this is the first time I've gotten one of these assessments, and I was shocked by the size. So I figured I'd see what other companies do. Do you pay all or part of this assessment?
