Hello everyone, I am a new member at Actuarial Outpost. I feel great to be here full of very intelligent and hilarious members.
Here's my quick background: I graduated with a B.S. in physics in May 2014 and decided to pursue an actuarial career at my last semester at college. Since then I have passed 2 exams (P & FM) while I was working full-time at my family's restaurant business. I am currently studying for MFE/3F. I do not have actuarial experience. But I do have experience as an undergraduate research assistant in a physics laboratory and co-authored a research publication to a scientific journal.
I have applied to roughly 50 positions in the last 2 months and have not been called for an interview. I figured I'd come here for resume and cover letter critique. Thank you very much for your input, it is greatly appreciated!!!
