I have a desktop PC that is pretty much out of storage space. I've got an older WD hard drive, but it's only 1TB and I'm starting to get mad at its functionality. I'm looking to replace it with something easier to use, and I figure why not try to get the most bang for my buck while doing so,
So I'm looking for the easiest configuration of hardware to basically store all our pics and vids (mostly iTunes), as well as other files, and be able to access them across the house (and possibly remotely). We currently have 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, a Windows 10 laptop and a Windows 10 PC, and an AppleTV. It would amazeballs if the files were accessible across any and all of those devices. I'm indifferent if the hard drive itself is connected wirelessly. In fact, all things equal, I think I'd prefer it to be wired.
I used to be up on the technology stuff, but I've fallen pretty far behind in the past few years. So use small words please. ;-)
