Trump V Bernie

I still think (maybe hope at this point) that this is not how this election is going to turn out, but the prospect and the popularity of these 2 candidates has me a bit concerned about the direction of our country. They have turned this primary cycle into a pandering to the least productive and least intelligent 1/2 of our society. I feel like the segment of our society that makes this country what it is is totally being left out of the debate. I mean people making between $30,000 and $100,000 and families making between $50,000 and $200,000 are the bulk of American consumers. Neither party seems to care about what we need. Republicans have got to get off the idea of this picture of America as a white Christian nation. We are a free country where our diversity makes us special. Democrats have got to stop trying to give away middle class things to the poor. That doesn't make them middle class, hard work does that. If this turns out to be the choice in November then I will really start to consider whether this is the country that I grew up thinking it was. These 2 men will only make everything that is wrong with our country worse and not better. Last year I would have been hard pressed to get excited about another Bush or another Clinton, but what a difference a year makes.
