Why so much hate for Democrats?

Ok, I started taking interest in politics quite recently so I'm sort of ignorant on a lot of things. Here's my biggest question:

I'm seeing so much hate and negative sentiments for democrats everywhere. Take an example of this discussion board. When republican supporters are talking against democrats, people consider it a shame to come in defense, even if they are democrat supporters. Why? How did democrats manage to win the elections last time if this is really the case? How do they manage to win elections many times before that? Or is it the case that although people would feel ashamed speaking for democrats, and would even criticize them, but will vote for them at the end of the day, because they would consider them a better alternative compared to a specific republican candidate at that time? For example, multiple times I've seen here that even if someone keeps a soft corner for democrats, they would say things like "although I'm not his supporter, but (for e.g.) ACA was one good thing that Obama did". I'm totally at a loss on this, so would appreciate if someone clarifies.

Or is it that actuaries are mostly republican supporters? I'm thinking this might be the case because a vast majority of actuaries in the U.S. are white (based on seminars and annual meetings)?
