So, at Fort Lauderdale airport, rented a vehicle for less than 24 hours,
Waived the basic rental coverages because I have primary auto insurance
Total cost would have been under $20.
When vehicle was rented out, condition of car was "fair" with a few minor dents and scratches and this was what we were told
Drove car about 30 miles in total, no accidents or collisions of any kind, none whatsoever
Returned car, the checkout person identified a dent that we did not cause.
Claim estimate: $3,700... In order to perfectly remove the dent we didn't cause, they must remove the entire door piece
$1,000 deductible and auto insurance will now rerate policy due to new driver risk assessed. Any way out of this? We didn't cause this dent.
