I got an offer for as an intern in January 2016. They want to do a background check and I am nervous because back in 2010, I was arrested for possession of marijuana in New Jersey. The case was dismissed as the police didn't find anything in my pocket but one of my friend's (we were just in the same car). And thats all I can think of as any obstacle to get that internship.
FYI, my lawyer is working to expunge the case but the court hearing is like 5 weeks away.
Did anyone had a similar experience? or anyone can tell me what is likely to happen?
